ABOUT ME
I live, garden, photograph and write along the central Kentucky-Tennessee border. I write with concern for my 20-something kids and all the generations that I hope follow me and them. I feel grateful, panicked, delighted, angry, and inspired all the time often in overlapping waves. Here's what I'll say over and over: plant native plants; stop spraying chemicals; and clean up the trash. I'll also say be intrigued by the natural world because it's changing and we need to remember.

So just because I want conservation to win, a pointless-hopeful blog about the natural world.
