Old MacDonald had a prairie, E-I-E-I-O,

And on that prairie, he grew grasses, E-I-E-I-O,

With a switchgrass here, and a bluestem there,

Here a little river oats, there some rye grass,

Everywhere prairie grass, E-I-E-I-O!

Old MacDonald had a prairie, E-I-E-I-O,

And on that prairie, he grew coneflowers, E-I-E-I-O,

With a purple one here, and a yellow one there,

Here Tennessee one, there a Ozark one,

Everywhere Echinacea, E-I-E-I-O!

Old MacDonald had a prairie, E-I-E-I-O,

And on that prairie, he grew asters, E-I-E-I-O,

With a smooth one here, and a blue one there,

Here a New England, there a calico,

Everywhere an aster, E-I-E-I-O!

And on that prairie, he grew milkweed, E-I-E-I-O,

With a common one here, and a swamp one there,

Here a monarch, there a bumblebee,

With a sweet one here, and a brown one there,
